A disciplined bowling performance from the Team India bowlers kept the Windies to 118/6 in 20 overs. Chasing 119 for victory, India lost their top three batsmen in the first seven overs, making it a tricky ride. However, the duo of Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh once again joined hands in the middle and forged a brilliant fifty-run partnership to guide India to victory.
Earlier, West Indies captain Hayley Matthews won the toss and elected to bat against India. India made a few changes with vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and spinner Devika Vaidya replacing Yastika Bhatia and Harleen Doel. West Indies made one change as spinner Karishma Ramharack came in for Zaida James.
